Samsung Planning To Release The S5 By Apr

Samsung has appear that it will be absolution a Galaxy S5 smartphone about April. It will aswell bare a additional bearing Gear smartwatch, which will accept bigger appearance and design.
Lee Young Hee, executive vice president for the mobile sector of the business told Bloomberg in an interview: “We’ve been announcing our first flagship model in the first half of each year, around March and April, and we are still targeting for release around that time,” Lee said. “When we release our S5 device, you can also expect a Gear successor with more advanced functions, and the bulky design will also be improved.”

Apparently Samsung is also exploring the possibilities of using eye scanner technology for the first time in its devices, in a bid to compete with its rival, Apple.
Currently one in every three smartphones sold globally is a Samsung branded handset. To keep up with the competition, Samsung is adding new features and models to its family of devices. The new S5 and wearable device will debut at the same time because this boosts sales of tablets too.
Lee Young Hee has also said that the company will announce at least one other wearable device this year but didn’t give any further information on what it would be or when specifically.
As for the S5, Samsung are keeping pretty tight lipped on specific features. “Many people are fanatical about iris recognition technology,” Lee said at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. “We are studying the possibility but can’t really say whether we will have it or not on the S5.”
When Apple released the iPhone 5S and 5C back in September, sales of the Galaxy S4 slowed down. Lee thinks that consumers may have been a little disappointed with the S4 because it hadn’t changed much from its predecessor, the S3.
“When we moved to S4 from S3, it’s partly true that consumers couldn’t really feel much difference between the two products from the physical perspective, so the market reaction wasn’t as big,” she said. “For the S5, we will go back to the basics. Mostly, it’s about the display and the feel of the cover.”
Analysts think this is going to be a difficult year for Samsung, especially when it comes keeping pace with rivals.
“The release of the S5 will be very important to Samsung,” Lee Seung Woo, an analyst at IBK Securities Co., said. “Competition is going to intensify, and it’s not going to be an easy year for the company.”

Redskins hire Jay Gruden as Mike Shanahan's replacement

The Washington Redskins have their new head coach.
Jay Gruden has agreed to a five-year deal to replace Mike Shanahan, a person familiar with the situation tells USA TODAY Sports' Jarrett Bell. The person was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter because the Redskins have not yet announced Gruden's hiring.
The team will hold a press conference at 4 p.m. ET Thursday at its headquarters in Ashburn, Va.
ESPN first reported the hire.
FTW: Will new coach overcome Snyder?
Q: Is Gruden the right hire?
Q: Rift with RG3, teammates?
Gruden, 46, the younger brother of ESPN Monday Night Football analyst and former Super Bowl-winning coach Jon Gruden, has spent the past three seasons as the Cincinnati Bengals' offensive coordinator. The Bengals won the AFC North in 2013 thanks in part to an attack that steadily improved under Gruden's watch. Cincinnati finished 10th in yards gained (368.2 per game) and tied for sixth in points scored (26.9 per game) in the regular season.
Washington was ninth in yards (369.7 per game) in 2013 but only 23rd in scoring (20.9 per game).
Gruden takes over for Mike Shanahan, who was fired Dec. 30 after the stormiest and most disappointing of his four years with the team. Shanahan, who had one year remaining on his deal when he was terminated, was 24-41 with the team and only reached the playoffs once.
Shanahan's relationship with franchise quarterback Robert Griffin III appeared to incrementally disintegrate following RG3's knee injury during the 2012 playoffs. The coach later expressed regret for not pulling Griffin against the Seattle Seahawks last January when the quarterback tore multiple knee ligaments. The duo also publicly disagreed on several issues in 2013, beginning with Griffin's workload in training camp and ending with Shanahan's decision to bench him with three games left in a lost 3-13 season.

Jeff Bezos Amazon CEO Rescued From Ecuador

How did you spend your New Year’s Day? I’d bet that you had a better experience than Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. Actually, Bezos is having a pretty rough start to the year 2014. On January 1st, as he was aboard a cruise ship vacationing in the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, he began to have some sharp pains. To make a long story short, these pains happened to be the result of kidney stones. Since there’s not much a cruise ship’s crew can do for passengers with kidney stones in the middle of the ocean, Bezos had to be flown by a helicopter to his personal aircraft. He was then taken to the US for surgery to remove the kidney stones. Bezos literally got the royal treatment, as it was the Ecuadorian Navy that rescued him from the ship.  It’s no fun being on a trip and getting sick, but being the founder of Amazon.com sure seems to have its perks. How many people regularly get rescued from cruise ships when they don’t feel well?

Here’s To Hoping For A Better 2014
Jeff Bezos is a fairly busy guy. As already mentioned, he is the CEO of Amazon – and he recently became the owner of the Washington Post. He also helped found a space exploration company. Forbes estimates that Bezos is worth $27.2 billion, so I guess the costs for all of the private airfare are just another drop in the bucket for him. Bezos also recently made the news when he spoke of the possibility of Amazon delivering packages with drones in the coming years.
I’m glad everything worked out for Bezos, as I’ve heard that kidney stones are brutal – I’d sure want to be rescued as well. Maybe his next project could be something relating to helping cruise ship passengers with kidney stones.
